Woven Through Waves
Woven Through Waves
A cacophony, a clash,
Murmur and dash.
May we be known as the
Golden thread
That listens
Before wanting to be
Heard.
And seeks to suture wounds
over pulling
fraying
ends.
This piece is loud and sweeping, tossing and turning. But entering quietly on one side is a thin, golden thread. And it doesn’t consistently run through the painting. It pops up here and there, blurring and fading under the noise. But then, as your eye longs for more light, it emerges gently on the other side, still as strong even in meekness.
The chaos in our world, nation, communities, and homes is loud. It’s so easy to lose track of the greater story at work. But I hope today you can slow down and take a breath. Trace where you are in the story, when you took up hope or were reminded of the greater Grace at play. And remember that Light will come out of this on the other side just as brilliant. And so will you.
